In 2023, sweeping legislative changes in Texas put academic freedom and the promise of an inclusive higher education at risk. These policies have systematically undermined Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, effectively silencing voices of marginalized communities.
For the Love of Texas (FLOT) is our decisive response: a collaborative summit that unites students, educators, policymakers, and community advocates in a coordinated effort to safeguard higher education and promote a just future for all Texans. How? By hosting a full-day, non-partisan training opportunity that empowers young adults, students, and community members with the skills and confidence to engage in policy advocacy.
Whether new to advocacy or seeking to enhance their impact, participants will gain the tools to drive change in Texas’ legislative session.
